Daily writing prompt
How much would you pay to go to the moon?

No, I really don’t know what it’d cost to commercially go to the moon, not while we’re on the exploring side of things, and not while astronauts go through rigorous training to live and work controlled from Earth.

I came up with a future (in fact, I plan to write this), where it started with exploitative space travel – going to distant worlds in search of resources to build for a post-WWIII population boom, the world’s armed forces running it after pushed into cooperation instead of exploding each other

Since I was a kid, space was a dream, and I reckon it still is. And maybe one day, we can just jump on a spaceship and go for a holiday around Jupiter and its moons, jump over to Sirius and the Pup, visit the galactic core a safe distance from the Milky Way’s supermassive black hole.

Until then, only the super and uber rich and famous will enjoy such tourism, if it happens. A commercial mining operation on Mars isn’t happening any time soon (at least, I think not).

So, I’ll just travel vicariously through the astronauts who get to go back to the moon very soon, and maybe I’ll live to see a manned Martian landing – that’d be cool.

Reading books, sitting down to movies, and playing video games were also loves of mine – and how I learnt to write (also Shakespeare study, ugh).
